sitting down for the first time at 5:30 pm
I think I sat down for the first time since morning coffee at 5:30 pm. Today was a BUSY day, yesterday also busy, and the day before that and the day before that. Let me catch you up. On Monday my husband decided to go by a mini van for a friend around Bowling Green, KY. So I planned a field trip, booked a hotel and reminded everyone of the things they should pack. Tuesday a.m. we are off to Bowling Green, purchase the vehicle, tour Mammoth Cave, visit the National Corvette Museum (again) check into the hotel and go for a swim and a soak in the hot tub. Wednesday morning we go to the the L&N rail museum in Bowling Green. What a treat. We had the most awesome tour guide and learned some great facts about trains and how they were used to deliver mail in the "olden" days. My son talked shop with the model train operators who gave us lots of dates and events for things CJ would love as a train connoisseur. We eat some lunch at the Double Dog, where CJ's meal came in a dog bowl (adorable) then drove the 2 hour drive behind some truck with a trailer load of young calves, who entertained me most of the way home. Thursday we did homeschooling and helped Chet clean the new van and load it up onto the trailer for the trip to Michigan. By 5 pm the kids and I were off to the Nashville Children's theater to see "A Wrinkle In Time" and its debut performance. It was my first trip to this venue and the show, thespians, costume and set were fabulous. Friday, we got up and got Chet off to Michigan, did homeschooling, then cleaned CJ's room and got the computer desk and computer set up. WHAT A FEAT. Then I sent the kids to go play with their friends till 7pm when 2 will come here for a sleepover and to spend the day tomorrow while their mom attends nursing school. Meanwhile I found a great old ottoman in the basement to put the school books, since Mini Me reclaimed the shelf she gave me for them not less than a week before. After all this, I sat down. 5:30 PM.
