The Chromebook, better than "they" say it is.

About a month ago. I noticed a deal to turn in your old XP laptop to get a $100 off a new computer or tablet.  Since I just so happened to have 2 circa 1990 xp laptops laying around in the basement, I sprung on that deal.  I ended up with a $50 gift card and 2 $75 coupons for new laptops or tablets (from Bestbuy).  I purchased a Windows 8 Asus 15.6 laptop for about $300, after the technician talked me out of the chromebook. I used the $50 gift card and 1 of the $75 coupons.
After getting this computer home and installing update after update to get to the updated windows 8... the laptop is finally functioning.  We have learned not to turn it off, or god forbid close the lid as it takes FOREVER to reboot itself.  It is, however, useful for downloading files, storing files for local at home access with its 500 gb harddrive and playing games like minecraft and terraria.... my kids favs.
A couple days later, itching to spend my $75 coupon before the May expiration date, I saw a daily deal for a Acer c720p chromebook touchscreen for $250... with coupon the final price was $175.  I ADORE this chromebook.  It boots up lighting fast (like 7 seconds)  and is so easy my 8 year old tech. challenged daughter can operate it... checking out you tube videos of minecraft and my little pony as well as watching netflix and educational videos.   I ended up going back and getting 2 more chrome books. One for my 10 year old son and one for me for portable computing.  It doesn't have a lot of storage, my model having only 32gb, but comes with a 2 year google drive with 100gb of online storage, available anywhere you can get a wi-fi connection.
