An art appreciation, art history and art creating activity using 13 Modern Artists Children Should Know by Brad Finger

I love this 13 Modern Artists series by Brad Finger, Angela Wenzel and others.  I have found these books at my local library, inexpensive at Amazon.com and Ebay.com.
I take these books with 1 of the 13 items at a time, read the information to my 3rd and 6th grader and then we look up other images by the artists or different art of the same genre.
For instance one of the 13 great modern artists profiled by Brad Finger is Marcel Duchamp.  We read the pages on Marcel Duchamp, viewed more artwork of his online. Next  I had my kids discuss what Art is / or isn't.  Finally  I had them make an item using unusual materials Marcel Duchamp style
