My daughter JBird age 8 is always venting about how its not fair that there is no "daughter's day" She informs their is a Mothers day, a Fathers day, Grandparents day and even Sunday.... Son day, get it..... Well I thought she was correct until I started researching important events and days of the year and found that there is indeed a daughters day, albeit it's celebrated in China (of all places, where I thought they didn't value girls) and is shared with another important event Chinese Valentines Day.
The actual date changes based on the lunar cycle but for 2014, Daughters Day / Chinese Valentines Day falls on August 2nd.
I can't wait to share this with JBird when she wakes up and start planning events for Daughters day.
