Today is Amelia Earhart Day, celebrating the birth of the famous pilot born on this day in 1897. It's a great day to learn a little bit about Amelia Earhart who went missing while traveling around the world on July 3, 1937. The Navy searched over 250,000 miles of ocean and found no trace of her, her plane or copilot, Fred Noonan.
