A lesson with Birthday Money
Mini Me is 8 today, I know, where did the time go, it seemed like yesterday she was sucking on her fingers, oh wait, she still does that, Anyway. Mini got a lot of birthday money and she was very excited to run to Walmart today to get a few things she didn't get as presents. I let her look through the aisles, my little pony area being the destination. Once there she thought HARD on which pony or ponies to get and finally settled on 2 separate small ponies for $11.00 instead of the slightly larger $15.00 ponies. She then got a toy each for Fluffers and Sylvester, her cats. Last was a Seat Belt Pal which she had wanted ever since she saw it advertised on TV. Her good choices didn't even use up her gift card from Grandma, but came quite close, she still has a lot of cash, but she is a saver (good girl.) I told her as part of school in the next couple days we will work on the Thank you cards. Thank you cards will be another great learning tool with: manners, writing, composing the notes, addressing them and then delivery via in person or with a trip to the post office.
