Peacocks are males

It makes total sense when you think about it, but did you know, really, Peacocks are all males.  Female Peacocks are called Peahens. Together they are called Peafowl.  When they have babies they are Peachicks.  Of course male birds always seem to have the fancy plumage, but rarely do we wonder if a peacock is a boy or a girl, well now you know.  I got this information from this cute little book "Colorful Peacocks by Deborah Underwood and Lerner Publications Company.  I'm sure Mini could of read it, but I read it to her and it was thoroughly enjoyed by both of us.
