Avoid the LONG post office line

I find myself at the post office quite often.  Whether I am picking up something I ordered for home-school or mailing off something I sold on Ebay, there I am in that LONG line.
Finally, I have found a way to avoid the line and save money in the process.  I purchase my postage online.  I usually use Paypal through Ebay as most of my sent items are based on Ebay sales but there are other online options too; like stamps.com.  I simply package my items as usual then weigh them on my simple digital kitchen scale.  From there I search for my best option or method of shipping whether it be priority flat rate, first class or even media mail.  Ebay even gives me a discount so I am paying less money than I would at the post office. Occasionally I have to use a cloth measuring tape to measure my box or package to enter dimensions, but most often I just need the weight.
I actually prefer doing this method of shipping for the money saving as well as being able to see all my shipping options, which is hit or miss depending on which clerk I get at the post office.
The best part is walking into the post office, past that LONG line, setting my package on the table and leaving. 1 minute... in and out.
