Teacher Editions offer great add-on material

Last year was my first year of home educating.  I choose my curriculum by what I could get a hold of for a reasonable price, borrowing books from friends, finding books on Ebay, Amazon, at Goodwill, at the thrift shop and from free sites online like Teachers pay Teachers or Pinterest.

This year I still haven't spent a lot on curriculum and truthfully I haven't had the nerve to go to a curriculum fair, because I know I will be in awe and spend a small fortune. I have improved my teacher planning drastically by adding two key items: teacher manuals and an online schedule (Homeschool Skedtrack )  If you haven’t used a teacher’s manual you should probably check one out.  Once I got my hands on one and saw how it was orientated, often showing the students pages with tips and suggestions for discussion, I was hooked and I want instruction manuals for everything.  Because a lot of my books are older versions I have trouble finding teacher manuals but I do have one for both 3rd grade, Harcourt and 6th grade, Glencoe,Math, as well as  Scott Foresman, 6th grade, The World, Social Studies.  I am still searching but hope to find teacher manuals for my Scott Foresman Science grade 3 and 6, (again they are older (2003) versions so they are a challenge to find.
