My daughter J-Bird is sure struggling with spelling. She is continually asking me how to spell words, which in itself I don't mind, but I question whether or not she is retaining anything I tell her.
We are using the Spelling you see curriculum by Demme Learning but it just doesn't seem to be enough of a challenge for her 3rd grade level.
Looking online for supplemental learning I have found bigiqkids.com. I like the Big IQ Kids because it creates a spelling list... which is more in line with the traditional spelling curriculum... so MOM knows what words are being covered, so I can quiz her throughout the week. Big IQ kids also has games like word jumble and hangman which kids find fun. They also have a vocabulary section.
